- The Sixth Circuit applied the "honest belief rule" in an ADEA case - The idea here is that an employer can escape discrimination liability if it has a non-discriminatory reason... "even if its conclusion is later shown to be mistaken, foolish, trivial, or baseless."
- In a separate decision, the Sixth Circuit also held that the ADA did not require an employer to allow an employee to telecommute under the circumstances of that case:
