Some highlights:
- Covered employees "shall earn not less than 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked."
- The amount of accrued sick leave can be capped, but no lower than 56 hours per year.
- Covered employees can use the sick leave for mental or physical health conditions; diagnosis and preventive care; and to care for a family member.
- The leave carries over from year-to-year.
