Pennsylvania implements Lost Wages Assistance (aka $300 UC bonus cash)

Here's the bad news for unemployment compensation benefits claimants: the $600/week "bonus cash" from the CARES Act has expired. But, here's the good news for PA claimants: Pennsylvania has implemented the Lost Wages Assistance Program. Claimants can get $300/week if they meet the following criteria:

  • You must be fully or partially unemployed due to COVID-19, and
  • You must have a weekly benefit rate + dependent allowance totaling $100 or more, and
  • You must receive a payment each week from one of the qualifying programs:

    • Unemployment Compensation
    • Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation
    • Pandemic Unemployment Assistance
    • State Extended Benefits
    • Shared-Work
    • Trade Readjustment Allowances
The program just kicked off on Sunday, September 6 and the funding is (so far) limited to $1.5 billion for Pennsylvania.
