OSHA updates workplace guidance on COVID-19

OSHA updated its guidance on Protecting Workers: Guidance on Mitigating and Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 in the Workplace. The changes are summarized as:

  • Focus protections on unvaccinated and otherwise at-risk workers
  • Encourage COVID-19 vaccination
  • Add links to guidance with the most up-to-date content
How exactly to "encourage" vaccination has been a hot topic lately, and a big part of my practice recently. For its part, OSHA has declared that it will not enforce teh usual recording requirements for employees experiencing side effects as a result of COVID-19 vaccination (through at least May 2022).
